Checking Your Motives

Kitchen Service is a vital part of any Christian life, but we must never forget that why we serve is as important as how we serve - the motives of our heart really make a difference.
Think abt some questions that can help us " do the work of Christ with the heart of Christ."

- Am I serving to impress?
- Am I serving to receive external rewards?
- Is my service affected by moods and whims[ my own as well as others']?
-Am I using this service to feel good about myself?
- Am I using my service to muffle God's voice demanding I change?

1 Samuel 16:7
The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.


Sometimes when we are doing things for people, are we giving all our heart in serving or are we secretly hoping that we will get things in return. it is so easy and naturally for people to have selfish thoughts on wat they give they receive as well. but jesus is different.

he is the son of man yet he came to Earth to serve and not be served.

we should learn from jesus's humble attitude towards act of service. making use of the talents he blessed us to serve people. to give to others. to love one another. it is so easy to hide our talents. not willing to share wat we know or give wat we can to one another. but jesus is not selfish. he came for a purpose which is to give.

let not focus on wat our weaknesses are and prevent ourselves from doing so many things tt god had blessed us with.

this 2nd half of the school term. it will be really challenging.. counting the numerous projects dateline.. assignments.. reports... i m feeling the extreme pressure and stress....
